CHENNAI, JAN. 17. The All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary, Jayalalithaa, does not rule out the possibility of her party entering into an alliance for the Lok Sabha election, though she affirms that no decision has been taken so far. "Politics itself means change and flexibility," she said responding to queries whether there was any change in her earlier statement in the Assembly that the AIADMK would work for a non-BJP, non-Congress Government at the Centre. However, she said, she did not want to discuss alliance now. At present she had nothing to tell the press on poll tie-ups. As all activities of her party were transparent, she would let the press know as soon as a decision was taken, Ms. Jayalalithaa told newsmen after garlanding a statue of her mentor and AIADMK founder, M.G. Ramachandran, on the occasion of his 87th birth anniversary at the party headquarters here today. Referring to the appeal by the State Bharatiya Janata Party president, C.P. Radhakrishnan to the AIADMK to lead the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu, Ms. Jayalalithaa said there was plenty of time to discuss alliance. Earlier in the day, the State BJP election strategy committee member and national executive committee member, Sukumaran Nambiar, met Ms. Jayalalithaa at her residence. But, he said, the meeting was purely personal and no significance should be attached to it.
