CM orders probe into firing

HYDERABAD, JAN. 17. The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Saturday expressed anguish and shock over the police firing at Salur in Vizianagaram district in which two persons were killed and a few others injured.

He ordered a magisterial enquiry into the incident.

He also announced an ex gratia of Rs.1 lakh each to the kith and kin of those killed and Rs. 25,000 to those who suffered bullet wounds.
