Visakhapatnam
By Our Staff Reporter
VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 17. The Visakhapatnam District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) has earned a national-level award for the help it extended to the Self-Help Groups. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will present the award to the Person in-charge and Collector, Sunil Sharma, at a function to be held in Hyderabad on Monday. The Visakhapatnam DCCB, along with two or three DCCBs from the State, has won the national award. The Visakhapatnam DCCB has been selected for the award for the last financial year. Though the Collector was not appointed as the Person in-charge for that period, when it was headed by a president, he would be receiving the award on behalf of the DCCB, Mr. Sharma said.
