MADURAI, JAN. 17. Pilgrims proceeding to Sabarimala in a private bus had a miraculous escape when the vehicle collided with a lorry laden with match boxes near Thanakkankulam on the Madurai-Tirumangalam highway. The lorry, which caught fire, was completely gutted in the accident, which took place in the wee hours of today. However, there was no casualty. According to the police, the lorry was proceeding from Kovilpatti to Lucknow while the bus was heading towards Sabarimala from Kumbakonam. No arrest has been effected so far, sources added.
