HYDERABAD, JAN. 17. A maidservant, Savithri (32), was found murdered and her body thrown in the bushes behind the GPRA Quarters under the Rayadurgam police station area on Saturday. The assailants smashed her head with a boulder, which was also recovered from the scene of offence. The victim was a resident of Vaddera Basthi.
Attacked
A. Ashok, brother of the BJP leader, A. Narendra, who had allegedly intervened to settle a land dispute along with three of his associates at Radhakrishnanagar of Hyderguda on Saturday, was injured when the locals attacked him. The Rayadurgam police arrested three of Ashok's associates -- Devender, Mohan Reddy and Shankar Reddy -- on the charges of attempting to attack a local, Yadi Reddy. They had allegedly interfered in the land dispute and were supporting Yadi Reddy's rival, Raji Reddy.
