HYDERABAD, JAN. 17. Mohammed Abdul Waheed Quadri, the alleged key operative in the fake stamp paper scam who was recently arrested by the police in city, submitted a petition to the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge of the Nampally Criminal Courts accusing the police of forcing him to confess his involvement in the scam. Stating that the SIT officials `threatened' him to sign several written and blank papers, Quadri appealed to the judge to discard the contents of those papers describing them as `false'. Alleging that the police forced him to read out the signed papers, Quadri also charged the police with threatening him and saying that he would be implicated in all the fake stamp paper cases throughout the country if he refused to accept the confessional statement. Quadri's counsel, Rafatullah, confirmed on Saturday that Quadri had petitioned to the judge in this regard. According to him, Quadri made it clear that neither he gave any statement nor made any confession before the police. Charging the police with dictating his confessional statement, Quadri refused to accept the same, Mr. Rafatullah said.
