HYDERABAD, JAN. 17. Three unidentified persons who boarded an auto-rickshaw posing as passengers took away the vehicle after beating up the driver, N. Raju of Kandikal Gate, at Vattepalli under the Rajendranagar police station limits on Thursday night. The trio boarded the auto at Koti and asked Raju to take them to Engine Bowli in Jahanuma. When the vehicle reached an isolated place near Vattepalli, they attacked him and fled in the vehicle.
Relieved of vehicle
A resident of Chandrayangutta, Shaik Abdul Rashid (25), was relieved of his Scorpio vehicle at gunpoint allegedly by one, Ahmed, of the same locality on Saturday. Ahmed intercepted Rashid while the latter was going in the vehicle with his brother, Rafeeq. He allegedly threatened the duo with a firearm and drove away the vehicle.
