KOTTAYAM, JAN. 18. The Bharatiya Vichara Kendram director, P. Parameswaran, has contested the claims by the Central Government in their campaign `India Shines'. Addressing the delegates' session of the second national conference of the Akhila Bharathiya Construction Mazdoor Mahasangh (ABCMM), affiliated to the BMS, Mr. Parameswaran reminded his audience that `all that glitters was not gold'. The key issue was how real this sparkle was, he said and pointed out that 25 per cent of the population lived below poverty line. The question that should be addressed to was, whether this sparkle had percolated down to these segments, Mr. Parameswaran said.
