Health camps

Sir, — Kurubarahalli, a fast developing area, is thickly populated. Several hospital organisations have taken up diabetes check-up camps in areas other than Kurubarahalli. Such camps are necessary in this locality also. There is a ground on the premises of the Ganapathi Temple near the police chowk where the camp can be held.

Divert buses

Sir, — With the police introducing the one-way rule, people in New Thippasandra are finding it difficult to go to Shivajinagar or Majestic. They have to walk of about 15 minutes to reach the Thippasandra Market or the Ganesha Temple bus stop. This has put office-goers, the old, and the infirm to hardship.

May I suggest that at least the buses (route nos. 138 and 139) from Jeevan Beemanagar be diverted on their return journey to ply through Thippasandra Main Road.

A useful project

Sir, — The citizens should be grateful to the authorities concerned who conceived and executed the Hebbal flyover project.

However, from the engineering angle, it appears that the northernmost loop has extended by about 1.5 km. unnecessarily, adding to the cost of the project.

Considering the factors such as gradient, radius of turn, banking, even on the highways in the U.K. and the U.S., and the autobahn in Germany, where vehicles cruise at over 120 kmph., the multiple omnidirectional flyovers are more compact and symmetrical.

H.P. Hande,

Bangalore.
