MUMBAI, JAN. 19. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the multi-crore stamp scam, today questioned Sameer Bhujbal, nephew of the former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Chhagan Bhujbal, for four hours. Mr. Sameer, who had dodged the SIT summons twice in the recent past by delaying his return from abroad, arrived here last evening. He appeared before the SIT headed by the specially-empowered Director-General of Police, S.S. Puri. Though no details of the interrogation were available, it is believed that the SIT wanted to find out the nexus between the scam and police officers and corruption in their postings and Mr. Sameer's link with Antim Totala, questioned earlier for his link with the main accused, Abdul Karim Telgi. When confronted by mediapersons, Mr. Sameer refused to say anything about the questioning.
