CPI (M) protests depiction of `trishuls' on army tanks

CHENNAI, JAN. 19. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today protested depiction of `trishuls' on the T-90 `Bhishma' tanks.

The State secretary, N. Varadarajan, in a letter to the Defence Minister, George Fernandes, said the depiction of religious symbols on the tanks went against the secular ethos of the country.
