NEW DELHI, JAN. 19 . Two persons, who allegedly stole the belongings of train passengers after drugging them, have been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police from New Delhi railway station. Two more were arrested from the railway station premises for cheating passengers by posing as travel-ticket examiners. According to the police, Rajkumar Yadav and his brother Vimal, were waiting at platform No. 8 of New Delhi railway station to board the Northeast Express for Madhepura in Bihar when two persons approached them and started talking in their mother tongue. They soon became friendly and after a while, one of the culprits went to get tea for the brothers. The duo consumed the tea, allegedly laced with sedatives, and started feeling dizzy. Suspecting that they were made to consume some sedative, they screamed for help, pointing to the culprits. A police team patrolling the platform rushed to the spot and overpowered the miscreants. During interrogation, they identified themselves as Habbu Khan and Haider Ali. In another case, the police arrested Deepak and Mahesh for allegedly posing as travel-ticket examiners. The accused extracted Rs. 300 from one Shitab Ali in the name of allotting him a berth in a train. After giving him a forged slip against the payment, they fled from the scene. Suspecting that he had been cheated, Shitab Ali raised an alarm. Some police personnel deployed nearby heard his screams and nabbed the accused after a brief chase.
