NEW DELHI, JAN. 19. The Delhi traffic police have imposed restrictions on vehicular movements in view of the Republic Day Parade rehearsals on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, commuters have been requested to avoid Vijay Chowk, Rajpath, Rafi Marg, Janpath, Man Singh Road and "C" Hexagon after 9-45 a.m., as no traffic would be allowed during the parade rehearsal. Those going from South to North have been advised to take Ring Road via Ashram, Rajpath/Mathura Road, "W" Point and Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, while those going from South to Connaught Place or Central Secretariat should use Mother Teresa Crescent, Park Street, Mandir Marg, and Baba Kharag Singh Marg. Commuters heading to West from South can go via Ring Road or Upper Ridge Road or vice-versa. During the full rehearsal on Friday, people going from North to South can take Ring Road, Nizamuddin Bridge T-point, Sarai Kale Khan, Maharani Bagh, Ashram Chowk and onwards, while from the West of parade route, they can take Boulevard Road, Rani Jhansi Marg, Faiz Road, Upper Ridge Road, Simon Boliver Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, Dhaula Kuan and Ring Road. Those going from South to North have been advised to take Ring Road, Ashram Chowk, Sarai Kale Khan, Nizamuddin Bridge T-Point, Indra Prastha Flyover, Rajghat, Shanti Van, ISBT and onwards. Commuters coming from West of the parade route can take Shanti Path, Teen Murti Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Rama Krishna Ashram Marg, Park Street, Mandir Marg, Panchkuian Road and Rani Jhansi Road; or Shanti Path, Panchsheel Marg, Simon Boliver Marg, Upper Ridge Road, Pusa roundabout, Rani Jhansi Road, Boulevard Road and ISBT. According to the traffic police, people going from East to West and visa-versa should take Wazirabad Bridge to Outer Ring Road, Madhuban Chowk, Mangolpuri and Peera Garhi flyover; ISBT Bridge from Ring Road towards Civil Lines or Ring Road, Boulevard Road, Rani Jhansi Road, Fiaz Road and Upper Ridge Road; Old Yamuna Bridge from Civil Lines or Boulevard Road, Baraf Khana Chowk, Azad Market Chowk, Rani Jhansi Road, Faiz Road and Desh Bandhu Gupta Road; and ITO Bridge and Nizamuddin Bridge from Sarai Kale Khan, Ashram Chowk, Subramaniam Bharati Marg, South End Road, Prithvi Raj Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Panchsheel Marg, Simon Bolivar Marg, Upper Ridge Road and Shankar Road. The parade route would be from India Gate to Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Chandra Marg to Red Fort on Friday, while from Vijay Chowk, Rajghat, "C" Hexagon up to India Gate on Tuesday and Wednesday.
