Medicos stage `rasta roko'

TIRUPATI. Jan. 20. The striking junior doctors on Tuesday held an hour-long `rasta roko' in front of the Government-SVRR Hospital here as their strike entered the 40th day. Though one of their colleagues was bodily lifted and shifted to the hospital as his condition deteriorated yesterday due to the fast-unto-death, three others were still continuing. "We are ready to forego even our academic year for the cause of the common man who is the worst hit by user chargers and the privatisation of medicare and medical education," they said.
