Six held; gold recovered

HYDERABAD, JAN. 20. The Kukatpally police on Tuesday picked up six persons, all native of Bihar, from a lodge at Puranapool and recovered 500 gm of gold ornaments allegedly stolen by them by diverting attention of public.

Their modus operandi was to approach housewives offering to polish jewellery and decamp with the property by diverting their attention, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, M. Mahender Reddy, told a press conference here on Tuesday.

The arrested included Mohd. Isail (22), Ranjeeth Kumar (23), Mohd. Arif (20), Sudheer Kumar (26), Dilip Kumar (26) and Pannal Lal (18).
