Clear sky forecast

A mainly clear sky with likely minimum temperature of 16 degree Celsius has been forecast for the city for Wednesday. The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 29.3 degree Celsius and a minimum of 16.4 degree Celsius. The relative humidity was 37 per cent. No rainfall was traced.

Blood donation camp

The Institute of Genetics, in association with Red Cross Society of India, is organising blood donation camp at 10 a.m. on Thursday for children suffering from `Thalassamia and sickle cell Anaemia at it's Ameerpet premises (near Lal Bungalow). Those interested to donate blood can contact the Institute's Medical Officer, according to a press release.

Course in sports therapy

A four-week, part-time cum correspondence course in sports therapy certificate is being offered by the Physical Medicine Educational Society every month. Interested persons can register in its office at H.No. 4-7-278, Esamia Bazar or contact A. Balakrishna, Course Director on phone: 24650291.

NCC camp

A 15-day long army attachment camp for 115 senior division NCC cadets is being held at the 47th Infantry Brigade (Third Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry) from January 17 to 31. Contingent includes cadets hailing from seven colleges and one sainik school platoon from Visakhapatnam. K. Durga Prasad, Commanding Officer, will be the camp commandant assisted by K. Moinuddin and R.G. Thayakaran, a press release said.

Face-to-face

The `Face to face' programme of the Hyderabad City administration will be held on Wednesday between 6.15 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will be telecast live on Incable and Siticable channels.

Workshop held

To train teachers in hotel management colleges, the Regency College of Hotel Management Catering Technology organised a workshop on "Training for trainers", where in teachers from several hotel management colleges participated.

The workshop was addressed by eminent speakers from the hospitality industry. They spoke on the changing scenario in the hospitality field and how teachers should equip themselves with trends in the industry. They also stressed on imparting values and ethics to the students.

Walk-in interviews

Walk-in interviews are being conducted at the College of Engineering, Osmania University, for the Small Industries Development Bank of India's sponsored 14-week `Simap' course at 10 a.m. on January 22. Course fee is Rs. 4,500 and interested candidates can call up on phone: 27098501, a press release said.
