Revenue official arrested

BANGALORE, JAN. 20. An Assistant Revenue Officer, T. Seetharama Murthy, attached to the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's J.J. Nagar Range Ward 42, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 800 from a complainant. Murthy allegedly demanded a bribe for issuing the "khatha" of a house owned by B.N. Venu of Hosaguddadahalli, who filed the complaint.

The official was arrested and released on bail, a Lokayukta release said.
