Sir, The proposed alliance between the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress for the Lok Sabha elections defies logic. The party broke away from the Congress on the issue of Ms. Gandhi's foreign origin. Its alliance in Maharashtra with the Congress could be justified to some extent, as there was no question of who would be Prime Minister.
