PONDICHERRY, JAN. 21. The Joint action committee (JAC) of the Lingareddypalayam Cooperative Sugar Mill Labourers Unions today said it would hold a series of agitations if their demand for wage revision was not met by the Government. Addressing presspersons here today, Durai Arumugam, honorary president of the JAC, said a special labour tribunal or a tri-partite committee or a separate wage board or a one-man commission should be set up to go into the wage revision. Mr. Durai Arumugam said there were 15 associations in the mill and their wage revision contract was over in March 2003. However, the Government had not taken any action to revise their wages.
