Paes to partner Martina

MELBOURNE JAN. 21. After being sidelined due to a non-malignant brain lesion in August last, India's Leander Paes has not played a tournament since.

In the Australian Open, Paes will put to test his fitness levels. In the mixed doubles event, the 30-year-old Paes will team up with Martina Navratilova of the U.S.

The defending champions, seeded fourth, will face Chris Haggard of South Africa and Emilie Loit of France in the first round.

In the men's doubles, Paes is partnering Tomas Cibulec of the Czech Republic.
