Jammu & Kashmir
By Our Staff Reporter
JAMMU, JAN. 21. The Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Lt. General (retd.) S.K. Sinha, has said infiltration of terrorists is continuing along the Line of Control though there is no cross-border shelling since the ceasefire. After visiting the forward areas in Jammu province, the Governor said, ``The infiltration is going on. But what is encouraging is the fact that there is no cross border-shelling since the ceasefire declared at the Line of Control.'' The Army authorities briefed him on the utility of fences along the LoC in plugging the infiltration. Lt. Gen. Sinha asserted that the opening of routes along the LoC to unite the divided families meant opening of hearts and resuming all contacts, which had to be welcomed. But this objective could not be achieved in a single day.
