NAGERCOIL, JAN. 22 . A special grievances redressal meeting was held for the physically challenged persons at the Collectorate here on Wednesday under the joint auspices of the administration and the District Rehabilitation Office. Out of nearly1022 persons who attended the meeting, 50 persons sought identity cards. Government physicians examined them and recommended provision of cards. Immediately the Collector, Rajesh Lakhoni, who presided over the meeting, gave away cards to them. He also distributed callipers to about 92 persons, tricycles to 32 persons, wheelchairs to 12, artificial limbs to 18, and crutches to 58 persons. The District Rehabilitation Officer, T. Manohar, and other officials participated.
