4 of family found dead

TIRUCHI, JAN.22. Four members of a family were found dead under suspicious circumstances in their house at Sri Nagar, Thiruvanaikoil here this morning.

Singaravelu (54), his wife Suseela (45), daughter Mangaiyarkarasi (25) and son Senthil (22) were found dead in their house which was bolted from inside. They were suspected to have consumed poison and died overnight. The bodies were sent to the Tiruchi Government Hospital for post mortem. Preliminary investigations revealed that poisoning might have caused the death, but the circumstances that drove the family to the extreme step were under investigation.
