Tailor jumps to death

A tailor and resident of Premnagar in Amberpet, Sheelam Ravi (40), who jumped from the top of Ayyangar Plaza in Abids on Wednesday, succumbed to injuries on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital (OGH).

Woman ends life

A housewife, Parmila (32), committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday in her house at Filmnagar. The Banjara Hills police said the victim's parents alleged that their daughter resorted to the extreme step due to harassment by her husband, Ramchandra Reddy.

Infant dies

An 18-month-old girl, Neha, who sustained burns after boiling water fell on her accidentally on Wednesday in her house died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at the OGH.

Fake passport case

Immigration officials on Wednesday nabbed a person, B. Latchaiah, who was allegedly found travelling with a fake passport at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. On questioning, Latchaiah confessed to the police that he secured the passport under a fake name of Chaganti Ganesh of Nizamabad district.

Car stolen?

A businessman, Sunil Shah's car was taken away near his relative's house at Jeera under Gandhinagar police station area on Wednesday night. Mr. Sunil and his wife went to the relative's house after parking their car outside even as their nine-year-old daughter, Anushka, was sleeping inside the vehicle.

The girl woke up when unidentified persons opened the vehicle doors. While a frightened Anushka jumped out, the offenders drove away the car.
