ICICI Bank's ATM on Wheels

KOCHI: ICICI Bank has announced the launch of ATM on Wheels and the fully networked mobile ATM will visit Kodungallore, Triprayar, Vatanapally and Chalakudy in Thrissur district and Marine Drive in Ernakulam. Lalita D. Gupte, joint managing director of the bank, said the ATM on Wheels would be connected to the central data base of the bank through the GSM technology with back up CDMA link which enables real time information exchange across a mobile phone/laptop through a wireless media. The GSM technology will enable the mobile ATM to provide all the services available at a usual ICICI Bank ATM. The movement of the mobile ATM will be tracked using GPS and will be monitored by the bank's 24-hour ATM helpdesk, she said.
