KMF to hold convention today

TUMKUR, JAN. 23. The Tumkur district unit of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) will hold a convention of milk producers at Halugona in C.N. Halli taluk of the district on Saturday. Over 5,000 milk producers are expected to attend the meet. Thousands of milk producers in the district have formed 560 milk-producers' societies. The President of the Union of Milk Producers' Co-operative Societies in the district, H.B. Shivananjappa Halemane, who was busy with the preparations for the convention at Halugona told The Hindu that a new building was built at the village for carrying on the milk producers' activities.T.B. Jayachandra, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, G. Parameshwar, Minister for Higher Education and Information, G.S. Basavaraju, Tumkur MP, V.S. Ugrappa, MLC, K. Shadakshari and C.B. Suresh Babu, MLAs, will address the convention.
