NEW DELHI, JAN. 23. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders today called on the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and said their half-an-hour meeting in the evening was a "courtesy call'' heralding a new relationship with the Central Government. The five-member Hurriyat team, led by its chairman, Maulana Abbas Ansari, included the former chairman, Abdul Gani Bhat and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. "We apprised him of our discussions with the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, yesterday and broadly touched upon several aspects relating to Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister gave us a patient hearing and agreed with us that the dialogue process should be taken forward,'' Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, told presspersons. The Mirwaiz said the Kashmiri leadership and the people were with their conglomerate and together they would work for resolving Kashmir issue. "Coupled with the Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf's recent overtures, we will move forward to see that peace and stability comes back to the State and region.''
