Anand wins

CHENNAI, JAN. 24. Former World chess champion Viswanathan Anand humbled former World championship challenger Jan Timman of the Netherlands in a one-sided round 11 game of the 66th Corus chess tournament at Wijk aan Zee (Netherlands) on Friday.

The results (round 11): Viktor Bologan (Mda) 5.5 drew with Michael Adams (Eng) 6.5, Peter Svidler (Rus) 5.5 drew with Loek Van Wely (Ned) 5.5, Alexei Shirov (Esp) 5.5 drew with Vladimir Akopian (Arm) 5.5, Zhang Zhong (Chn) 4 lost to Peter Leko (Hun) 7, Evgeny Bareev (Rus) 5 bt. Ivan Sokolov (Ned) 3.5, Vladimir Kramnik (Rus) 6 drew with Veselin Topalov (Bul) 6, Viswanathan Anand (Ind) 8 bt Jan Timman (Ned) 4.
