MAHABUBNAGAR,
JAN. 24.
The police have arrested six People's War dalam members, who were responsible for the attack on the former Kalvakurthy MLA, Jaipal Yadav, and murder of the deputy sarpanch, Ramulu Gupta, at Ramireddypalli in Midgil mandal.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the SP, R.K. Meena, said that on November 7, 2003, the dalam members had opened fire on the vehicle of Mr. Yadav with AK-47 rifle while he was returning after attending a programme at Madugula.
The gun-wielding extremists opened fire and Mr. Yadav and an executive engineer suffered bullet injuries. The extremists ran away after Mr. Yadav's gun man opened fire. The militants, who were arrested, were: T. Venkataiah and D. Sudhakar. Meanwhile, a militant of Nallamala LGS, G. Yadaiah, surrendered before the SP on Saturday.
