UDUPI, JAN. 24. A seminar on "Third sector governance" will be held at the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district on February 2. In a press release issued here, the Director of the institute, M.S. Moodithaya, said the seminar would throw light on conceptual and empirical issues concerning the governance of the third sector in India. This was of importance as the third sector was gaining prominence in the country, he added. He said scholars from India and abroad would present papers at the seminar. Famida Handy of York University, Canada, Ran Cnaan of Pennsylvania University, U.S., Balasubramanya of Vivekananda Youth Movement, H.D. Kote, Yashavantha Dongre, University of Mysore, and other scholars would present papers at the seminar, which would be inaugurated by the President of the Nitte Education Trust, N. Vinay Hegde, Mr. Moodithaya said.
