CHENNAI, JAN. 24. The Central Crime Branch police today arrested seven persons employed in three theatre complexes here for allegedly screening censored portions of two Tamil movies. They also sealed the projection rooms of four theatres Rukmini and Rakshini in the Rohini complex at Koyambedu; Chandran in the Udayam complex at Ashok Nagar and Kasi in K.K.Nagar. Anbazhagan, Durai, Nayagan, Balaraj, Gopal, Manavalan and Anandan were remanded to judicial custody. The police are on the lookout for producers and editors of the two movies, theatre owners and distributors. They raided the theatres on Thursday and seized reels of `Pudukkottailirundhu Saravanan' and `Jai' following a complaint from the Censor Board that the theatres were screening censored portions.
