ERODE, JAN.25. St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai lifted the basketball and tennis titles on Sunday in the 22nd Tamil Nadu Inter-Engineering Sports (TIES 2004) sponsored by the KSR College of Technology, Tiruchengodu. In table tennis final, S.R.M. Engineering College, Kancheepuram defeated S.S.N. College of Engineering, Kalavakkam, both in the singles and doubles. In chess, S.S.N. College of Engineering, Kalavakkam lifted the Regional Engineering College Rolling Trophy and K.L.N. College of Information Technology, Pottapalayam finished second. The results: Basketball: St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai bt S.S.N. College of Engineering, Kalavakkam 39-30. Tennis: Singles: St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai bt Sri Venkateswara Engineering College, Chennai 6-0, 6-1. Doubles: St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai bt Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai 6-0, 6-0.
