NEW DELHI, JAN. 25. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, today launched the redesigned website of the President of India with the children's corner as the special feature.

This addition enables students to ask questions to the President without having to e-mail them. The President will answer selected questions and the children can view the answers on the website.

Other sections in the restructured website (available at www.presidentofindia.nic.in) include the President of India, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, Former Presidents, Presidents' Address to Parliament, banquet and general speeches.

In order to improve accessibility, the latest five events will appear on the home page along with the relevant photographs. To facilitate easy downloads, lectures and speeches are available in different formats such as zip, modularised, power point and portable document format (PDF). Citizens can directly write to the website, a President's Secretariat release said.
