THANJAVUR, JAN. 25. Fans of film actor Rajnikant will work against candidates of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) in the Lok Sabha elections in "retaliation to the insult heaped on the superstar by its founder, Ramadoss, at the time of release of Mr. Rajnikant's film, Baba," Rajani Ganesan, president, Thanjavur District Rajnikant Fans Association, said here today. He told presspersons that the association's district unit has taken a "pledge" to defeat PMK candidates. The film actor's fans will go to the six constituencies and work against the candidates, he said. Support of all the fans in the State has been sought. Addressing the women's wing conference of the party at Poompuhar in Nagapattinam district at the time of the film's release, Dr. Ramadoss exhorted people not to see the film and criticised the actor.
