Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, JAN.25. The sky on Monday will be partly cloudy and the minimum temperature will be around 22 degrees celsius. On Sunday, the maximum temperatures at Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam were 31 and 30.9. The minimum temperature was 22 degrees celsius in both places. The humidity levels were 82 and 68 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply to parts of Mandaveli, Egmore, Tambaram, Esplanade and Sowcarpet East will be suspended on January 27 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m for maintenance work.

Holiday for museum

Government Museum and National Art Gallery in Egmore will remain closed on Monday on account of Republic Day, according to a notice from the Department of Museums.

Felicitated

R. Ethirajan, computer terminal operator at the Tiruvottiyur branch of the Central Bank of India was recently felicitated for his social service, including blood donation. According to a release, Mr. Ethirajan was honoured for his punctuality and attendance at the bank and achievements in table tennis.
