Thundershower likely

A generally cloudy sky with rain or thundershower likely in parts of the city has been forecast for Monday. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 19 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 28.1 degree Celsius while the minimum was 19.5 degree Celsius. Relative humidity was 91 per cent.

Sankaracharya visit

Swami Jayendra Saraswati, Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, will visit the city on January 31 and February 1. He will arrive on January 31 at 6 p.m. and stay at Kanchi Kamakoti Sankara Mutt, Skandagiri.

He will give darshan till 9.30 p.m. On February 1, the seer will perform `kumbhishekam' of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavati between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Bhavya Anandam, Nizampet Road, Kukatpally.

Course on interiors

The School of Planning and Architecture, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, is conducting a short-term course on `Appreciation of residential interiors' from February 23 to 27.

Office-bearers elected

Datla Hanumanta Raju has been elected member of the Central Council, Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). C. Sudhir Babu and P. Jagannatham are new chairmen of the Southern India Regional Council and Hyderabad Chapter of the ICSI respectively.

The other office-bearers are: A.V. Syamala and S.V. Suryanarayana, members of the council, E.N. Viswanath, vice-chairman, V. Ahlada Rao, secretary, G. Raghu Babu, treasurer, K.K. Rao, S.S. Marthi and Lavanya Chandra, members of the Hyderabad chapter.
