Stamp papers scam: three more picked up

HYDERABAD,
JAN. 27. THE
Andhra Pradesh Stamps Investigation Team (SIT) officials picked up three more persons, including Dastagir Murugod, an agent of the alleged kingpin in the fake stamp papers scam, Karim Telgi, on Tuesday.
Dastagir was produced before the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Nampally Criminal Courts here and remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
A native of Khanapur, Tegli's village in Karnataka, Dastagir was charged with aiding and abetting the operation of fake stamp papers racket in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, two more persons Ashish Chakravarthy of Kolkata and Ethiraj of Chennai were also picked up on the charge of involvement in the scam.
Ashish and Ethiraj allegedly were part of Telgi's crime syndicate and operated the racket in Hyderabad with the help of Waheed Quadri, who has already been arrested by the SIT.
