BANGALORE, JAN. 27. A 40-year-old woman was allegedly murdered and her body dumped in a well at a village in Harohalli Police Station limits in Kanakapura taluk of Bangalore Rural district. Police said the body of Revamma, wife of Beeraiah, a farmer, was found in a well at Chokkasandra on Tuesday morning. Harohalli police have registered a case of murder. The motive behind the murder is not known, police said. House burgled: Thieves broke into the house of Kanakaraj, a scientist with the National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL), at Srinagar on Monday night and took away gold ornaments and cash. Mr. Kanakaraj and his wife, Shashikala, were out of the city when the theft took place, it is said. Police suspect that valuables worth over Rs. 3 lakh have been stolen from the house. Hanumanthanagar police have registered a case of house break-in and theft.
