Letters to the Editor
Sir, Kashmir is like a child of divorced parents caught in a web of accusations, emotions, deceit and anxiety, always living in a state of insecurity. One should understand the suffering, the years lost in the custody battle. The fantasy solution is the reunion of parents but will India and Pakistan come together?
A. Suganya,
Sir, The Centre-Hurriyat talks may be applauded by the media and intellectuals. But the BJP, in effect, is pursuing the same policy of appeasement of organised separatist groups. The divisive, sectarian leadership of the Hurriyat is being given prominence. In the process, the Centre is not only betraying the cause of hapless Kashmiri Pandits but also peace loving moderate Muslims.
K.T. Krishnaswami,
