Mr. Krishna would inaugurate various facilities and launch development works in Yadgir, Shahapur, and Gulbarga taluks as scheduled.

Mr. Singh told presspersons that the Chief Minister initially wanted to postpone the tour to February 6.

He spoke to Mr. Krishna today and persuaded him against doing so.

According to the tentative itinerary, Mr. Krishna will arrive by a special aircraft in Bidar city on February 3. After a brief halt at the Bidar Air Force Station, he will fly to Jewargi taluk in Gulbarga district by helicopter. Mr. Krishna would inaugurate the Kallur Bridge-cum-Barrage across the Bheema in the taluk. The work on the facility has been completed in a record 11 months at a cost of over Rs. 11 crore.

Later, Mr. Krishna will inaugurate the 40-km. stretch of the road from Jewargi town to Bheemarayanagudi.

The work was taken up with World Bank aid under the project to upgrade the Bidar-Srirangapatna road. After the function, he will inaugurate an agriculture college at Bhimarayanagudi and lay the foundation stone for the proposed 220-kV power station at Shahapur.
