CUDDAPAH, JAN. 28. The Telugu Desam Party had no reason to fear as long as it had the blessings of the `Teluginti aadapaduchulu', asserted the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday. Mr. Naidu, who arrived by helicopter at 11.45 a.m., addressed women of DWCRA and self-help groups in front of the Cuddapah Municipal Stadium. He wanted at least one women from each family to be a DWCRA member and earn about Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 a month while remaining at home. The Government accorded utmost priority to DWCRA, he said, adding women stood to gain from self-employment and welfare schemes, allotment of house sites and houses and the incentive of Rs. 5,000 under the Girl Child Protection Scheme. Stating that there was no dearth of funds, he hoped that women would prove their mettle in all sectors and even surpass their male counterparts. He welcomed a DWCRA member's plea for financial assistance and sanction of an industrial unit using the locally available bananas as raw material and said it displayed their entrepreneurial skills. After the meeting, the Chief Minister reportedly had a closed-door meeting with MPs, former MLAs and TDP leaders of the district at the stadium. He watched a welcome dance performed by a group of seven budding classical dancers. Earlier, he went round the stalls put up by various agencies at the venue.
