Vayalar Ravi optimistic
NEW DELHI,
JAN. 28.
The AICC general secretary and senior Congress leader, Vayalar Ravi, today expressed confidence that the crisis in the Kerala unit of the party would be sorted out amicably. ``Just now, I received a message about K. Karunanakaran's move to form a new party. But I believe that he will not resort to it as the KPCC chief, K. Muraleedharan, has said that he is not part of the move,'' Mr. Ravi told mediapersons at the AICC headquarters here.
He said he was trying to contact Mr. Muraleedharan to learn the facts about the development in the wake of Mr. Karuanakaran's move. Asked if the party was in touch with Mr. Karunakaran, he said ``Yes, the party high command is trying to contact Mr. Karunakaran.'' Asked if he was hopeful about sorting out the problem, the senior party leader from Kerala said he was very hopeful that the matter would be resolved amicably.- PTI
