UP restricts Bengal

VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 28. After restricting Bengal to a first innings score of 224 runs, Uttar Pradesh has made 154 for four at close on Wednesday, the second day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy final at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here.

The scores: Bengal 224 (Saumik Mukherjee 62, Debopam Biswas 49, S. Bhattacharjee 27; Rohit Choudhary three for 35, Bharat Awasthi three for 41) vs Uttar Pradesh 154 for four (Arish Alam 39 batting, Prasanth Gupta 39 batting, Chetan Singh 27, Tanmay Srivastav 25; Bablu Goswami three for 66).
