Bad day for fourth seeds

KOLKATA, JAN. 28. The fourth seeds in the boys' and girls' singles bowed out in the pre-quarterfinals of the ONGC-ITF junior tennis tournament at the DKC clay courts here on Wednesday.

In the girls' section fourth-seeded S. Punam Reddy of India was beaten by compatriot Sandhya Nagaraj 7-6 (7-2), 6-3, while in the boys' section unseeded Xiao-Peng Lai of Hong Kong overcame Faris Khatib of Great Britain 6-0, 0-6, 6-3.
