The Ramgopalpet police arrested two persons - Khalid and Syed Athiq - on Tuesday and recovered from their possession gold and silver articles worth Rs. 1.60 lakhs. B. Bhaskar, properitor of a pawn broker shop at Gulzar Houz, was also arrested on the charge of purchasing the stolen articles. During interrogation, the arrested persons confessed that they had burgled houses. The two were earlier arrested by the CCS south zone team for similar offence. ACB raids: An Assistant Commercial Taxes Officer of the Punjagutta division,S. Narasimha, was arrested on Wednesday on the charge of accepting Rs. 5,000 from a complainant for doing an official favour by not booking cases against his trucks. He will be produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB cases. In another case, a Sub-Registrar, K. Bodenna, working in Gajuwaka of Visakhapatnam, was caught when he was found accepting Rs. 1000 from a complaint through, Ch. Durgest, an unlicensed document writer, for doing an official favour. They were arrested. A Panchayat Secretary working at Govindapur in Zaheerabad mandal of Medak district was caught when he was accepting Rs. 400 from a complainant.
