Traffic curbs for Beating Retreat

NEW DELHI, JAN. 28. The Traffic Police have imposed restrictions on vehicular movements on roads leading to Vijay Chowk from 3 p.m. to 9-30 p.m., in view of the Beating Retreat ceremony on Thursday.

While Vijay Chowk will be closed to general traffic, only those having labels issued for entry to the venue would be allowed to park their vehicles on both sides of Rajpath. No traffic will be allowed on Rajpath between Rafi Marg and "C" Hexagon.

Commuters would be allowed on only one of the carriageways of Man Singh Road - from Jaswant Singh roundabout to Man Singh-Maulana Azad Road roundabout; Maulana Azad Road - from Man Singh Road roundabout to Sunehri Masjid; Rafi Marg - from Sunehri Masjid aroundabout to Krishi Bhawan side; and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Road - from Krishi Bhawan to Jaswant Singh aroundabout to Man Singh Road.

According to the Traffic Police, free parking would be allowed only between Janpath and "C" Hexagon.
