U.N. role

Sir, — This refers to the article, `Iraq defies the script' by Hamid Ansari (Jan. 28). The U.S. invasion of Iraq on the presumption that Baghdad possessed weapons of mass destruction was really a "might is right" policy. Following the invasion, the United Nations' role as an international agency for promoting peace and preventing war among nations has been seriously undermined.
