Acer targets 7 per cent storage market

BANGALORE: Computer maker Acer would aim to sell about Rs. 40 crore worth of `storage solutions' in India, which would give it a 7 per cent market share in the country, company officials said here on Thursday. Acer was now introducing its products, Harish Kohli, a General Manager at Acer India, the company's Indian subsidiary, said. The 7 per cent estimate was based on a study by Gartner, a U.S. based market research company, that valued the Indian `storage market' at Rs. 350 crores, Mr. Kohli said. — Our Staff Reporter
