MADURAI, JAN.31. The Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries' Association has prepared an Entrepreneur Development Programme for sensitising final-year students of the city colleges to the avenues available for starting own industries. The Business Information Centre of the MADITSSIA has taken up the initiative of nurturing an entrepreneurial culture in the southern region, utilising its available resources and outsourcing necessary expertise, according to the MADITSSIA president, K. Ramachandran. Besides the students of colleges and technical institutes, the BIC will also provide inputs to unemployed youths, aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, rural artisans and self-help groups. The EDP programme comprise sessions on `breaking the ice', `inculcating right attitude', `entrepreneurial traits', `self-rating questionnaire', `goal setting, `communication skill', `preparation of project reports, `government policy and statutory requirements', `role of supporting institutions', `adapting to business environmental changes', `networking' and `managing your finance', said Mr. Ramachandran.
