Rain likely over coastal A.P.

CHENNAI, JAN. 31. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over South interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms. are: Ramagundam 2, Dowleswaram (East Godavari dt.), Hyderabad Airport and Ibrahimpatnam (Rengareddy dt.) 1 each.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, fell at one or two places over rest Karnataka, rose at one or two places over North coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at many places over Rayalaseema, at a few places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Telangana, North Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh.Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu, South Kerala and southern parts of Lakshadweep.
